Remember Temple Shalom in your Will

Make Temple Shalom a Beneficiary in your Life Insurance Policy.

Temple Shalom conducts a number of fundraisers during the year:

One of our events is our popular 'stay-at-home' tea party. The event features hot tea with your own choice of accompanying treats and you don't have to go out in the cold. Information about the Tea Party is mailed or get in touch with us now to participate. -- contact@templeshalomri.org

Another fundraiser is the printing of our Temple Shalom calendar which highlights all the holidays and tenple events, as well as birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and yahrzeits. Temple members and community business people place ads and the result is an attractive and useful tool to keep us up to date with the temple's ongoing activities. To learn how you can advertise in the calendar or place listings of birthdays, anniversaries, and yahrzeits, contact contact@templeshalomri.org.

A simple way to bring greetings to selected members of the Congregation - by contributing $5 to wish someone a happy birthday, anniversary, or express sympathy in the event of a loss. There is really no limit. For information about participating in the Shalom Fund call: Ruth Ziegler - Phone: 846-5858 -- ruthziegler@cox.net

One of the greatest of Mitzvot in our tradition is performing the act of remembrance. Temple Shalom offers opportunities to fulfill this Mitzvah by arranging contributions and dedicating Memorial Plaques to perpetuate the memory of a loved one. A Memorial Plaque is a constant reminder and a timely symbol of a cherished devotion to those we wish to remember. On the anniversary date of the Yahrzeit a light is kindled next to the nameplate. In accordance with Jewish tradition, whenever Yizkor is observed, a light should be kindled and Kaddish recited. The present contribution for a Memorial Plaque is $500.00. Contributions of many meaningful and needed items can be dedicated at the Temple. Please contact the Rabbi to discuss the possibilities. (401) 846-9002.
